| Autodesk Seminars |
Sunday 05th of August 2007 |
The Martians from Goodrich have been able to organize CAD and Animation training through Quantum Technologies and they've asked us if we'd like to join the training. Quantum is an authorized Autodesk Training Center with offices in Troy and you can find them on Autodesk's website.
The training for Animation will take place at Lake Orion High School in room 302 on Aug 11 and 25. Both classes start at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm with a lunch break at noon. Aug 11 will be a beginner class and Aug 25 will be a more advanced class. Both classes are open to new team members and interested mentors. Anyone wanting to attend must stay through the whole day. The software that will be used is Autodesk 3DS Max. Anyone interested must send an email to Mr. Dudek before Thursday Aug 9 5:00pm to sign up.
The CAD training will take place at Goodrich High School or Oxford High school. We are currently determining which school will run the CAD software properly. Mona Williams from the Martians team will notify Mr. Dudek which school the training will take place at before Thursday Aug 9, and he will notify those who have signed up. The CAD training is also on Aug 11 and Aug 25 from 9:00am to 4:00pm with lunch at noon. Aug 11 will be a beginner class and Aug 25 will be a more advanced class. Both classes are open to new team members and interested mentors. Anyone wanting to attend must stay through the whole day.
The software that will be used is Autodesk Inventor 11. You will learn how to create basic 3D solid parts and some assemblies.
Anyone wanting to take this training must send an email to Ken Dudek before Thursday 5:00pm Aug 9th to sign up.
Any questions can be answered by contacting Mr. Dudek. This is highly recommended and is a great opportunity for new and old team members. This way, we can focus more time during the season to drawing the robot rather than teaching the software.
